跳古巴莎莎,要解放自己的双脚 ——Joy写给salsa初学者

很多朋友刚开始学salsa,就接触向后迈一步,再向前迈一步这种基本步。导致跳套路或跟拉丁人跳舞时左右脚无法适从。

其实掌握了salsa舞步的本质后,不管自己被舞伴牵引到哪里,左右脚都能灵活变幻,自由轻快。

Salsa舞步的本质就是:身体重心在左右脚轮换,上身是端正的(身体的律动表现除外)千万不要跟着身体重心左右移动。胯部放松,随着重心变化自然地交替摆动,不要刻意大幅扭动。每天跟着音乐节奏练习身体重心的转移,女步:1234拍,右左右停,5678拍左右左停。男步左右反过来就对。像走路一样,去不同的方向,走一个圈(顺时针,逆时针方向),走一个正方形,左右脚交叉着走(前交叉,后交叉)...这样跳3个小时左右,再学习套路就不用费大脑记脚步了。脚步是下意识的自然运动,和身体的律动一样。而每一步要去的方向才是要用心的和舞伴交流联系的。

To dance Cuban salsa, you need to liberate your feet. Many beginners start salsa by repeating the basic moves mechanically: one step backward and one step forward, which makes them difficult to cooperate well with Latin American dancers or to dance combinations.


But if youve grasped the core of salsa moves, no matter where you are led to or what kinds of combinations the leader makes you to do, your feet won feel uncomfortable.


The essence of salsa moves is the weight shifting between left and right foot. But as you step, the upper body should remain level and nearly unaffected by the weight shifting (Unless you want to add some flavors with some upper body movements). Loosen up your waist, let it swing as your weight shifts between left and right foot, but don exaggerate the hip movements. Its suggested to practice weight shifting everyday at home with musics. For women, the feet movements on counts 1, 2, 3 and 4 can be interpreted as "right", "left", "right" and "stop"; counts 5, 6, 7 and 8 would be "left", "right", "left" and "stop". While for men, its the other way around. Practice this movement with front and back cross-steppings, while moving in a circle or in a square clockwise or counterclockwise. After practicing this basic moves for 3 hours, youll feel easier to learn any combinations.


Gradually, as the music plays, you feet and upper body will move subconciously. However you need to feel the direction of your movements by your heart and by the communication with your partner.
